Chief Visionary

Founder and Executive Director: Barbara A. Antinoro, BA

Barbara founded the Kid Angel Foundation in January of 2003. She has been the vision and the impetus that has moved our organization forward. She started the Kid Angel Foundation after being with a National Learning Center chain for 5 years and saw that parents needed a service that was either free or low fee based in order to help their child obtain academic success. She also recognized the fact that parents needed educational information and has this year created our DVD titled, Kid Intervention: “Tips for Getting Your Child Back up To Grade Level”. It’s a free download for parents and child care providers alike.!

Under Barbara’s direction and with the constant support of the Kid Angel Board of Directors’ Kid Angel has grown by leaps and bounds.

LISA J GREENBERG
Director of Education
B.S., M.Ed.

Math Teacher, 1967-1988
Industrial Engineer, 1988-1998
Sylvan Learning Associate, 1998 to present

Most of my professional career has been spent in the field of education. Even while employed as an industrial engineer, I was also teaching: my manager arranged a series of math courses through the local college to encourage his employees to continue their education.

I have always believed that knowledge is power and being able to read is essential to being empowered. What I offer to Kid Angel Foundation is the knowledge that I have gained from my experiences with industry, schools, and families in order to bring reading into the lives of as many children as possible.

Board Advisor

John DeFrank
BA History, MS Ed, Ed. D

John began his educational career as a social studies teacher and school counselor. During those years, he also coached high school and college football, garnering Coach of the Year honors.

From 1988 through 2008, John served in school administration, mostly as a pupil services director, and was instrumental in the initiation of two alternative school programs. He also served as co-chair of the Lebanon Collaborative Network, a group that fostered cooperation and coordination among social agencies, service providers, juvenile justice, and school districts.

Teacher, counselor, coach, staff supervisor, school administrator, alternative school innovator, social services liaison—just a few of the roles that provided John an opportunity to pursue his mission of helping children make the most of their potential in all aspects of their lives. Now retired from the school system, his position as Kid Angel Board Advisor will allow him to continue that mission
